Morton Theatre wedding venue

The Morton Theatre is a 1910 vaudeville house at Washington and Hull, one of the oldest surviving theaters in the country built and run by an African American. Duke Ellington and Bessie Smith played here. The auditorium seats 480, and the Pharmacy downstairs takes about 125 standing for cocktails.

A theater has a stage, not a dance floor, so we plan the night around how you want to use the room: ceremony on the stage, reception in the Pharmacy, or both.
