Which ballroom at Southern Exchange suits a large wedding?

The Davison Ballroom, at about 20,000 sq ft, handles the biggest weddings. The Whitehall Ballroom is the classic chandelier room, and the Grant Loft suits a more industrial look. We size sound and lighting to the room you book.

Southern Exchange has in-house AV. Do we still need a DJ rig?

Yes for the dance floor. House AV usually covers speeches and background sound. We bring sound built for a full dance floor and work alongside the venue team.

Can you cover the ceremony as well as the reception?

Yes. Ceremony sound is its own setup rather than a speaker borrowed from the reception rig, and a lapel mic is included for your officiant.

Do you bring a photo booth to Southern Exchange Ballrooms?

Yes. One team handles the DJ, the photo booth and the uplighting on one contract, so there is one load-in and one point of contact instead of three vendors coordinating with each other.

Southern Exchange Ballrooms wedding venue

Southern Exchange is a 1927 building downtown designed by Philip Shutze, with six event spaces across 110,000 sq ft. The Whitehall Ballroom has chandeliers and marble floors, the Davison Ballroom is about 20,000 sq ft, and the Grant Loft has brick and concrete.

The venue has in-house AV. We plan with their team on what to use and bring our own rig for the dance floor.
